Job Position: Acupuncturist

Salary range: $48000.00-$47632.00/year
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Help treat a variety of physical pain and psychological issues like hypertension or anxiety.
- Consult with patients about their symptoms, diagnose the issue and treat it using acupuncture
needles and other tools. - Provide acupuncture massage to reduce discomfort in patients.
- Understand anatomy and basic physiology to provide acupuncture treatment.
- Instruct and counsel patients on lifestyle changes.
- Provide diet and exercise regimen to patients.
- Participate in acupuncture seminars, conferences, and events.
- Ensure quality treatment processes in acupuncturist duties.
- Insert needles to provide acupuncture treatment.
- Maintain and follow standard quality, safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures.
- Identify correct anatomical and proportional point locations based on patients’ anatomy and positions, contraindications, and precautions related to treatments
- Analyze physical findings and medical histories to make diagnoses according to Oriental medicine traditions.
- Treat patients using tools such as needles, cups, ear balls, seeds, pellets, and nutritional supplements.
- Develop individual treatment plans and strategies.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and recommend new or altered treatments as necessary to further promote, restore, or maintain health.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Texas State Board of Acupuncture license.
